Balancing encounters can get complicated quickly. Each monster adds a certain amount of XP based on the monster's challenge rating. How much XP an encounter is worth is based on the player character's level, the party size, and the encounter difficulty. In addition to this, depending on the number of monsters, you may have to multiply the XP that each monster provides. Our encounter generator handles all of this balancing for you!
There are easy, medium, hard, and deadly encounters. Each of these changes the total XP in the encounter. Easy encounters are likely to only shave off a few hit points. In medium encounters one or two player characters might take serious damage. Hard encounters are dangerous fights that the party needs to take seriously (and are the default in Roleplay Rev). There is a good chance of player characters dieing in deadly encounters, use these at your own discretion.
First tell us the level and size of your party, and the encounter difficulty you want. Then provide a description of what kind of encounter you want, such as an "Artic Dragon with its minions" or a "Cyborg gorilla". We will then propose a list of the monsters in the encounter and their CRs. You can edit this, then submit it. Our dnd 5th edition AI will then create original monsters, with unique special abilities, for your encounter.
